Closing the Labor Shortage Gap

HPIP has been working in many ways to close the labor shortage gap. It's no secret that trade industries have been dealing with the weight of this issue for some time.

What problems arise from this? When there's a labor shortage in any trade industry that means contractors are worrying about getting the job done on time and getting the job done right. Not having the necessary professionals on staff can mean deadlines aren't being met and can have a hard impact on the company. The Home Improvement Research Institute did a study and found that over 50% of businesses are taking on fewer projects in order to stay afloat, and on average their projects are delayed by 4 weeks!

HPIP has paired up with an ever-growing number of Job Corps centers to help solve the labor gap. By doing so, there have been over 1,500 students trained on entry level insulation courses, but that's not the only thing HPIP is doing to solve this issue. Connecting contractors and industry professionals is one of HPIP’s long-range goals. That’s why we've developed a tool designed for the insulation and weatherization industry. With this tool, HPIP is pairing individuals specifically seeking insulation or trade jobs with the contractors in need.

The HP Recruiter will be available for FREE to the public for a limited time. HPIP is accepting requests for access to this tool completely free until December 31, 2020. Following this promotional period, this tool will only be available to High Performance Certified Contractors and Industry Professionals.
